About Bharat Raksharth
Bharat Raksharth serves as a comprehensive national vision and action framework, aligned with the overarching objective of Viksit Bharat. Its primary focus lies in strengthening India’s safety, security, and disaster resilience, particularly in light of escalating climate risks, natural hazards, technological threats, and the emergence of new security challenges.
Viksit Bharat envisions an India where development goes hand-in-hand with safety, security, and resilience. As climate change, urbanisation, and emerging risks intensify disasters, India’s growth must be protected by robust preparedness, risk-informed planning, and inclusive resilience strategies.
The vision for Viksit Bharat 2047 is fundamentally rooted in the creation and maintenance of safe and secure environments throughout the country. This encompasses all facets of daily life—workplaces, public infrastructure, homes, schools, hospitals, transportation hubs, neighbourhoods, and digital spaces. To realise this vision, it is imperative to prioritise robust security measures and foster a vigilant culture across communities.
By implementing innovative technologies and cultivating community-driven efforts, India can build trust and assurance among its citizens. This trust enables individuals to pursue their aspirations without fear, thereby empowering every citizen to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress.
